Along the lesson, attendants would watch live performances, listen to the stories of folk dancers, and learn some moves for themselves. No matter who you are or where you come from, we are here to offer a hands-on, novel experience of the Vietnamese culture.
The first session taking place on August 16 left attendants good impression about Vietnames folk dances. The lesson provided participants with an overview of Vietnamese folk dances, followed by live dance performances. Afterwards, a Q&A session with experts from Hanoi Dancers’ Association will offer more insights into the topic. To conclude our first event, we will provide participants with the opportunity to interact with dance instructors, who will then give instruction on some folk dance techniques.
Volksdance is an initiative with the aim of introducing expatriates and foreign visitors in Hanoi to the traditional dances of Vietnam’s various ethnic groups. The project consists of talks, live performances, and instructor-led folk dance lessons.
The Volksdance Project focuses on hands-on, immersive experiences. Activities include but are not limited to artist talks, exhibitions, folk dance lessons, live performances, and traditional Vietnamese activities.
