Working together for Vietnam's traffic safety

The National Traffic Safety Committee (NTSC) in coordination with Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) launched the programme themed "Toyota joins hands for Vietnam`s traffic safety " in Hanoi on February 28.
Addressing the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the NTSC Khuat Viet Hung said that the programme is part of a cooperation agreement on traffic safety enhancement for the 2015-2018 period signed between the committee and TMV.
NTSC Vice Chairman Khuat Viet Hung affirmed that under the programme, the Committee, nearly 300,000 members of the Otofun forum and local people will join hands to raise public awareness about responsible driving to build a safe, civilised traffic community.
Major contents of the programme are not using mobile phones at the wheel, not drinking and driving, and wearing a seatbelt, he added.

Speaking at the event, TMV General Director Yoshihisa Maruta stressed that drivers will make good examples for raising public awareness on traffic safety and more proactive participation will play a significant role in building a culture of traffic safety in Vietnam.
In the framework of the programme, TMV will continue to introduce equipments used for traffic inspections, support victims of traffic accidents and help the Ministry of Transport set up calibrating standards for technical safety.
