Vietnam's IT sector to develop a high export valued industry

The Prime Minister has approved a program for information technology (IT) sector development through 2020, with a vision to 2025. Accordingly, the IT sector will rapidly develop and be sustainable industry with high turnover and large export value.
The programme requires the sector to achieve an annual increase of at least 15% in software, digital content and IT services and attract about 5 billion USD in foreign investment into the electronic hardware industry in the 2015-2020 period.
