Their idea is to build an interactive art gallery for millennials, where everyone can share and experience as either artists or art admirers. Some are born with inherent painting talents, yet not all of them get access to painting materials. Others concern about social issues and want their voice to be heard regardless of artist souls.
Those kinds of millennials meet at their crave for connectivity and experience. Within 2 hours, they had to draft a business plan on how to promote their project.
According to Nguyen Thi Truc Van, the idea of using art to connect people from all over the world also aims to enhance the responsibility of enterprises and community. The proceeds earned from painting activities will be sent to orphans.
Their creative concept is to make Jo&Joe an interactive art gallery for millennials, where anyone can share and experience as either artists or art admirers. A brand new activity has been added at Jo&Joe, namely “Paint”. They regard Arts as a powerful weapon in building community concerns, creativity and network.
In order to differentiate themselves from others, in round 1, beside the field trips to Accor hotels in Vietnam, the team Rêveurs de jour traveled to Da Lat to make videos and organize a painting workshop at a local hotel drawing the participation of local people and young travelers to enhance the experience and the practicality of the project.
Accor Take Off! is an annual international competition on innovative ideas of the AccorHotels Group for students majoring in tourism management, hospitality and business around the world. This year, the competition required competitors to dig in the interaction between local people and tourists. This is the first time Vietnamese students have reached the Top 5 final and won the second prize.
Besides, the team from the RMIT University Vietnam also received a special prize from judges and Microsoft Group for their creative idea and impressive presentation. The first prize belong to the team “Djobi Djoba” from ESG School of Management of Alice Thonnelier , Louis Baron and Martin Penders. The students propose a reverse bid concept for activities in Jo&Joe open houses: each activity has a starting price but all day long this price goes down each time there is a new registration.
The team “Djobi Djoba” has concept lies in 2 points. First : the price. We all know that purchasing power is not the Millenials strong point. To solve it they introduce the reverse bid. Each activity will have a starting price but all day long this price will goes down each time there is a new registration.
Second: the organiser. It can be a professional or you. Yes YOU. Tripster or Townster ? Doesnʼt matter. Maybe you cook the best ratatouille in France then share your secret with us and organise your dinner in our open kitchen.
The team “Djobi Djoba” is thought to create the Jo&Joe community not only within the open house but in its whole local environment. They want them meeting, sharing, making souvenirs and why not becoming friends or maybe more...
The awarding ceremony will be held at VivaTech high-tech exhibition area (Paris, France) on July 16.
