Vietnam has established a new fleet under the Regional Coast Guard 3, which includes a new vessel that is considered the most modern of its kind in Southeast Asia.

Flotilla 302 was launched on the afternoon of August 7 at Van Phong Port, in Khanh Hoa Province, and the new vessel is called the CSB 8001. It is 90 metres long and equipped with a heliport and modern equipment for patrols and the protection of Vietnamese territorial waters.
The vessel was built in Vietnam by the Ministry of National Defense using the technology of the Dutch Damen Group.
