Hanoi Times – 2007 saw the soaring of orders searching for “laptop” and “Nokia 1110i” on Google Trends from Vietnamese Internet Protocol (IP).
Vietnamese people seem to like luxurious laptops trademarked Vaio or durable laptops of IBM when they led the world in 2007 for searching these words on Google.
Nokia 1110i, a low-cost mobile phone worth less than VND 600,000 (US$ 40), also attracted Vietnamese people’s attention.
Meanwhile iPhone was searched the most by Americans, LCD TV set by British, plasma TV sets by Australian, Window Vista by Mexicans, Windows XP by Indians, Linux by Russians, Ubuntu by Italians, and Mac OS X by Swiss.
British seem to love playing games and they took the lead in searching for PS3 and Xbox 360 and second after Taiwanese for searching Wii.
Google Trends is the page tracking statistics of searching habits by Google Search users in the whole world, which started operating in 2004.
