Vietnamese "Ao dai" space opens in Hanoi

According to Director of the municipal Tourism Department Do Dinh Hong, the launching of the Vietnamese "Ao dai" space aims to create a new tourist attraction for visitors to Hanoi as well as a meeting venue for fashion designers from home and abroad.

Visitors to the space can explore the process of making Ao dai, including designing, tailoring, embroidering and finishing them.
In addition, tourists can exchange talks with artisans from silkworm farming village of My Duc, Van Phuc Silk Village, Quat Dong Embroidery Village, and Trieu Khuc Weaving Village.
Addressing the launching ceremony, Director of Hanoi Tourism Department Do Dinh Hong said that the museum helps to introduce Vietnamese culture to visitors, serving as a new tourism sight for visitors to Hanoi.
Director Hong said that the opening of Vietnamese Ao dai space along with Ao Dai Festival 2016 in Hanoi aim to turn Hanoi into a fashion center in the future.
