Vietnam, South Korea NGOs partner for child protection

The contest helps promote public awareness of child protection online and offline.

ChildFund Vietnam, ChildFund Korea, and Hanwha Life Insurance Company have launched a game idea creation contest for child protection in Vietnam.

The contest is aimed to promote public awareness of child protection online and offline.

Specifically, it helps create a healthy playground, promote the development of creative thinking and online game ideas to raise awareness of child abuse prevention and safe use of information technology.

The contest is part of the project “Strengthening the effectiveness of the child protection system in Vietnam” which are sponsored by the aforementioned firm and civil soceity organizations (CSOs).

Contestants in the contest are Vietnamese citizens across the country, who are passionate about creating online game ideas.

The contest starts on September 8 and ends in the third week of October.

Those wishing to participate in the contest can register at the website: Sangtaogame.tongdai111.vn. Each contestant/team can only register one account.

In preliminary round, the contestants submit their entries directly to the website from September 8 to October 4. The voting round will be conducted on the website from October 5 to 19.

The ten best ideas will be presented to the judges during the Awards Ceremony scheduled for the third week of October.

The entries are in writing and graphics (or two-minute videos) including descriptions of specific models, technology solutions, interfaces, and gameplay design.

The contest seeks mobile game ideas and solutions on how to recognize and handle safety risks on online and offline environments.

Each award includes Certificate of Organizing Committee and a cash prize of VND15 million (US$635) for the first prize, VND10 million ($423) for the second prize, VND5 million ($211) for the third prize, VND3 million ($127) for consolation prize, and VND3 million ($127) for talent incubation prize.
