The Ministry of Information and Communications and the High Command of the Coast Guard on August 27 issued the second set of postage stamps under the theme “Vietnam’s Sea and Islands: Vietnam Coast Guard Ship”, on the occasion of the Vietnam Stamp Day.

They are available in the nationwide postal network from August 27 to June 30, 2022.
The stamp set features Coast Guard ships including patrol ships and ships for search and rescue.
The stamp set, designed by designer Nguyen Du, Vietnam Post, measures 43x32mm each, while the stamp block is 150x100mm in size.
The release of the stamps aims at celebrating the traditional day of the Vietnam Coast Guard (August 28), a force that is currently in charge of ensuring security, order, safety and enforces the law of Vietnam and relevant international treaties at sea.
In order the raise Vietnamese people’s awareness of the national sea protection, the Ministry of Information and Communication plans to issue three sets of sea-related stamps with the theme: “Vietnam’s Seas and Islands” in three years: 2018, 2020 and 2022.
Previously, the first stamp set with the theme “Sea Creatures” was issued in 2018 in Khanh Hoa province.
