The ambassadors presented their diplomatic credentials to the Vietnamese president who welcomed the diplomats for their new term in Vietnam, the Vietnam News Agency reported.

The ambassadors include Tanee Sangrat from Thailand, Saud F.M. Alsuwelim from Saudi Arabia, Rodriguez Melo from Colombia, Yerlan Baizhanov from Kazakhstan, Robyn Louise Mudie from Australia, Vahram Kazhoyan from Armenia, Jamale Chouaibi from Maroc, Pranay Kumar Verma from India, Guido Hildner from Germany, and Shariffah Norhana Syed Mustaffa from Malaysia.

President Trong highly spoke of the role of ambassadors in the relations between their countries and Vietnam, affirming that the Party and State always create favorable conditions for ambassadors to fulfill their mission.

He hoped that the diplomats will contribute more to the relations between Vietnam and their respective nations in the coming years.

The president highlighted the valuable contributions, efforts, and cooperation by foreign diplomats to the development of Vietnam as well as the deepened ties between Vietnam and its friends.

The president thanked the countries that the ambassadors represent, saying that the countries’ support is valuable in lifting up Vietnam to higher ranks on the international arena.

Vietnam has attached importance on diplomacy. From having diplomatic relations with 11 countries in 1954, it now has relations with 188 out of 193 countries and territories worldwide. Since 1957, the country holds a national conference on foreign affairs on an annual basis as part of efforts to improve its diplomacy policies.
