Vietnam opens the largest software export centre

The FPT Corporation held a ceremony to launch its second software village, F-Ville 2 in the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Zone in Hanoi on February 13.

The village was established by FPT Software, a part of the FPT Corporation. It is located in the F-Ville complex in the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Zone in Hanoi that was licensed in 2012. With a floor area of 28,000 sqm, F-Ville 2 can have 3,000 people working it.
The new village’s predecessor, F-Ville 1, opened in 2013, covering an area of 16,000sqm. At present, the village has 2,000 employees.
Along with the expansion of the scale, in 2017, FPT Software is expected to employ  about 5,000 personnel in all positions.
Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Vu Duc Dam highlighted that Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed his hope at the recent conference that the country will have a million people working in the IT and digital content sector in Vietnam as soon as possible.

Deputy PM Dam said other IT enterprises in general andn FPT in particular should also establish software “villages” with tens of thousands employees in order to realise the dream of turning hi-tech zone into an international software hub.
Speaking at the event, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh said the software village F-Ville is the first and largest software export centre built in the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Zone.
FPT is committed to continuing its investment in education, infrastructure development, research and development so that the software village can become a global centre for digital transformation services, he noted.
FPT Chairman Binh said the 5,000 employees of F-Ville will work with FPT Software’s staff in Japan, the US, Germany, France, Slovakia, Singapore and the Republic of Korea to research and implement projects for Japanese customers.


 
 
On the occasion, FPT Software held a seminar and technology exhibition.
FPT Software experts introduced its applications and solutions based on the core technology platform of the digital revolution as the Internet of Things (IoT), Internet of Verhicle (IOV ), data analysis (Analytics), Robotics, artificial Intelligence (AI-artificial Intelligence), image data analysis (image Process) researched and built by FPT Software. The FPT Corporation is currently deploying these applications for many major global corporations.
In 2017, the FPT Software targets to reach a 30% growth in revenue, gaining about 300 million USD and continue to promote its digital transformation services segment.
