Vietnam offers nine free tours for foreign reporters covering US – N.Korea summit

International reporters will have the chance to explore destinations and experience distinctive tourism products and services of Hanoi and Vietnam.
Hanoitourist and Saigontourist are offering nine free tours to attractions in northern Vietnam for international reporters covering the second summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un, said Deputy General Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) Ha Van Sieu at a press conference in Hanoi on February 25.

There are about 3,000 reporters from around the world coming to Vietnam to report on the event as well as social and cultural aspects in Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general.
According to Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA) Vu The Binh, Hanoitourist introduces five free tour packages from February 25 to March 2, including discovering the capital’s charms by Bon Bon City Tour, exploring Hanoi's Old Quarter with old camera, visiting Vietnamese museums, drinking coffee at Hanoi coffee shops and sightseeing Trang An and Bai Dinh pagoda in Ninh Binh.
For its part, Saigontourist presents four free tours for international reporters covering this event. The destinations include Duong Lam ancient village, Hanoi pottery village, Hanoi Old Quarter, and Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh province.
At the International Media Center, the VNAT has exhibition spaces of heritages, destinations of regions throughout Vietnam as well as showcasing Vietnamese tourism services and products through promotional materials and virtual reality experiences.
The VNAT has installed billboards featuring outstanding tourist attractions, and provide Vietnamese traditional gifts such as Dong Ho folk paintings, conical hats to international reporters.
The website www.vietnam.travel has been integrated to the registration page for international media run by MOFA at www.dprk.usasummit2019.mofa.gov.vn.
