Vietnamese businesses abroad connect with international partners in France

The "Vietnamese Business Culture Day Abroad" will be held on September 13 at the Vietnam Cultural Center in France. Focusing on cultural and economic exchanges, the event aims to connect Vietnamese businesses abroad with international partners and promote Vietnamese business culture. It will include forums on international business integration and the intersection of Vietnamese and European cultures.

Vietnam Fruit Festival held in Beijing for the first time

The Vietnam Fruit Festival, slated to be held in Beijing (China) on September 29-30, aims to promote the brand of Vietnam's delicious and nutritious tropical fruits, attracting many Chinese and international enterprises.

Statistics show that the export value of Vietnamese fruits and vegetables reached US$3.33 billion in the first six months of 2024, up 24.3% year on year, including $2.1 billion to China, or 64% of the total export turnover.

Vietnam exports first fruit juice to Pakistan

Pakistan's supermarket chain IMTIAZ has just imported the first batch of Vietnamese fruit juice brand Tropi, including mango, pineapple, lychee, grape, apple, and guava juices.

Vietnam Trade Counsellor in Pakistan said that exporting fruit juice to Pakistan is a proud achievement and contributes greatly to diversifying Vietnam's export structure. In the first seven months of 2024, Vietnam's exports to Pakistan reached US$269 million, an increase of 25.2% year-on-year.

Vietnam's seafood exports see positive year-end forecasts

 Vietnam's aquatic product exports are on track to reach a target of $9.5 billion by the end of 2024, buoyed by sustained positive growth in the eight-month exports with $6.3 billion, an increase of 9% year-on-year, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers.

All major export products saw significant growth: shrimp led the way with a 30% increase, followed by trawlfish at 18%, tuna at 13%, and other marine fish at 12%.

Industrial production rises in 61 provinces in Jan-Aug

Vietnam's industrial production index (IIP) grew by 8.6% from January to August 2024, with increases recorded in 61 provinces, according to the General Statistics Office. The manufacturing sector led the growth with an increase of 9.7%. Notably, industrial employment increased by 4.5% year-on-year, reflecting a broader economic recovery.

Australia to recruit 1,000 Vietnamese workers in agriculture sector

The Australian government will allow up to 1,000 Vietnamese workers to work in its agricultural sector as part of the labor mobility program between the two countries. Vietnamese workers will be able to undertake short-term (six to nine months) or long-term (one to four years) assignments. The positions available require only low-skilled to semi-skilled agricultural work, including crop production, meat processing, aquaculture (fish farming), and forestry.

LNG rail transport begins from southern to northern Vietnam

The first LNG shipment by rail from southern to northern Vietnam departed from Trang Bom station in Dong Nai on September 6, marking a significant milestone for the country's gas industry. Organized by PV GAS, the train carrying 16 ISO tanks of LNG aims to meet the energy needs of northern Vietnam through multi-modal transport, expanding its comprehensive energy supply network across the country.

Vietnam's top marksmen compete in national championships

The 2024 National Elite Shooting Championships kicked off on September 6 at the National Sports Training Center in Hanoi. Over 200 athletes from 11 teams will compete from September 5-15. Notable participants include Asian Games champion Pham Quang Huy and Olympians Le Thi Mong Tuyen and Trinh Thu Vinh.
