Vietnam Motor Show 2024 highlights eco-friendly automotive innovations

The Vietnam Motor Show 2024 will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from October 23 to 27. The event will focus on "Technology and Environment", showcasing the latest eco-friendly automotive technologies and smart innovations from renowned brands such as Ford, Honda, Toyota and new entrants BYD and MG.

Danang Enjoy Festival 2024 kicks off

Enjoy Danang 2024, a cultural and tourism event featuring 14 exciting activities, is scheduled to kick off tonight (July 17). During the five-day event, visitors will enjoy the Vietnamese and International Flavors Food Festival (July 17-21), Dragon Artistic Performance (July 17-21), Festival on the Sand (July 17-19), Sailing Performance on the Han River (July 20), Traditional Culinary Experience Space (July 17-21), and other activities.

Ho Chi Minh City proposes measures to fight fake news

In an effort to combat fake news, Lam Dinh Thang, Director of Ho Chi Minh City's Department of Information and Communication, proposed today, July 17, that social media accounts be validated with personal information before being allowed to comment. He also stressed the need for accounts registered outside Vietnam to comply with Vietnamese law. The department's main goals are to inform the public about appropriate online behavior, identify violations through the social listening system, and work with law enforcement agencies to deal with serious violations.

Vietnam spice exports rocket in Jan-May

Vietnam's exports of ginger, garlic and turmeric in the first five months of the year increased by 3-14 times compared to last year, according to the General Department of Customs. Among them, the exports of turmeric recorded the largest increase of 14 times year-on-year, followed by ginger, up 9 times, and garlic with three times. The US, China, India, UAE, and the Philippines are among the top five countries that prefer Vietnamese spices.

Lao Cai to hold 33 festivals in 2024-2026

The northern province of Lao Cai is expected to hold 33 festivals in 2024-2026, including four provincial festivals and 29 district festivals. The four provincial festivals are the Thuong Temple Festival, Bao Ha Temple Festival, Bac Ha White Plateau Festival, and Sa Pa Summer Festival. The festivals aim to preserve and promote the cultural identity and fine traditions of ethnic minority groups in the province.
