Namaste Vietnam Festival 2024 to take place this month
Vietnam and India will conduct the Namaste Vietnam Festival 2024, scheduled to run from August 25 to 31.
The festival will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, the central province of Khanh Hoa, and the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong. It is expected to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in trade, tourism, education, and film. At the event, Vietnam and India will announce a joint film project, "Love in Vietnam".

Quang Ninh food festival to promote tourism
Quang Ninh Food Festival 2024, to take place in the fourth quarter of 2024, will introduce local cuisine and boost tourism. It is expected to bring together 200 stalls of local cuisine and typical products. It will include cooking and cocktail-making demonstrations by celebrities, art performances and folk games.
Vietfish 2024 kicks off marketing Vietnamese seafood
Vietfish 2024, an international seafood exhibition, opened in Ho Chi Minh City on August 21. It aims to confirm the quality of Vietnamese seafood. The three-day event, with nearly 500 booths from 280 companies from 16 other countries and territories, will include a seminar on sustainable seafood development.
Vietnamese women entrepreneurs strengthen ties
The Board of the Vietnam Women's Forum in Europe held a working meeting with the Hanoi Association for Women Entrepreneurs on August 21 to strengthen ties between Vietnamese women in the country and those in Europe. Members from both sides shared their experiences on importing and exporting Vietnamese goods to Europe and vice versa.
Love for Vietnamese spread in Sri Lanka
The Vietnamese language has been brought closer to the Sri Lankan people through various programs conducted by monks at the Truc Lam Zen Monastery in Kandy City.
About 30 Sri Lankan children and their parents have attended a Vietnamese language class organized at the pagoda, the first Vietnamese language class in the country. After learning, most of them are able to introduce themselves fluently and sing popular Vietnamese songs.
Stranded rare green turtle rescued
Con Dao National Park recently rescued a rare green sea turtle stranded on Mui Lo Voi beach in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau and released it back into the sea. The male turtle, weighing about 70 kg, was identified as a Chelonia mydas, an endangered species.
Each year, Con Dao National Park has rescued over 1,500 turtle nests, provided artificial incubation, and released over 150,000 hatchlings into the sea.
EuroCham commits to support Vietnam's green transition
The European Chamber of Commerce has pledged to support Vietnam's green growth and help businesses meet EU sustainability standards. Jacques Buouflet, Vice President of Eurocham, underlined this on August 21 at the "Vietnam-EU Partnership Forum" in Ho Chi Minh City, recognizing Vietnam's progress but urging for a stronger legal framework and resource allocation for a balanced green transition.
National concert commemorates Vietnam’s historic milestones
The National Concert "Things Everlasting 2024" will be held at the Hanoi Opera House on September 2 to celebrate Vietnam's National Day. This year's concert will honor Vietnam's historical victories and achievements, featuring iconic revolutionary music and international participation, including the Sun Symphony Orchestra led by French conductor Olivier Ochanine.
Cat Ba hosts international marathon to boost tourism
The International Marathon - "Colors of Cat Ba Sunset 2024" will be held on Cat Ba Archipelago on October 19. The event, which includes 5-km, 10-km, and 21-km races, will be broadcast live on VTV2. The marathon is expected to attract thousands of runners from around the world, promoting Cat Ba's natural heritage and boosting tourism and the local economy.
