Vietnamese named among the world's top 150 software experts in artificial intelligence 

Dr. Nguyen Xuan Phong listed among the world's top AI experts.  

Dr. Nguyen Xuan Phong, Head of the AI Center at Vietnam's FPT Software, has been named to the Artificial Intelligence 150 (AI150), an elite list of the world's top executives leading AI transformation efforts.

The list was announced by Constellation Research, a technology research and advisory firm based in Silicon Valley, USA. Dr. Phong strategizes AI integration, drives innovation, increases productivity, and ensures ethical AI practices.

Ho Chi Minh City hosts Vietnam Medi-Pharm Expo 2024

The 22nd International Medical, Hospital and Pharmaceutical Exhibition (Vietnam Medi-Pharm Expo 2024) opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in on August 1.

The three-day event features over 500 booths of 450 businesses from 22 countries and territories, including major pavilions of India, South Korea, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Turkey, and China.

BRG Open Golf Championship to be held in Danang

The Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency of South Korea has officially announced the regulations for importing fresh grapefruit from Vietnam on its website. Grapefruit is the third fresh fruit from Vietnam to be approved for export to South Korea, along with dragon fruit and mango, marking a significant milestone and opening up great opportunities for Vietnamese agricultural products to access international markets. This helps confirm the quality and reputation of Vietnamese agricultural products in the global market.

Vietnamese and Mongolian enterprises seek cooperation in agricultural products at business seminar

Dak Lak and Mongolian enterprises are seeking cooperation in agricultural products, including coffee, cocoa, fruits and sugarcane, according to a seminar held from July 30 to August 2. Discussions covered agriculture, mining and export-import sectors, highlighting mutual strengths and potential partnerships.

Quang Tri to host Vietnam Ethnic Groups Cultural Festival

Quang Tri will host the Vietnam Ethnic Groups Cultural Festival from September 7 to 10, with participation from 17 provinces. The event celebrates traditional cultural values and showcases the heritage of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups. Vietnam State-owned enterprise receives Travelife certification for sustainable tourism

 

State-owned Saigontourist Travel has been awarded the prestigious Travelife Partner certification for sustainable tourism, becoming the first Vietnamese state-owned enterprise to receive this international recognition. Announced on August 1, the certification highlights the company's commitment to sustainability and social responsibility across 147 criteria. Saigontourist also declared its support against the illegal wildlife trade in Vietnam.

Vietnamese IT companies seek partnership with South Korean firms for digital transformation

Vietnamese IT companies are seeking to become strategic partners with South Korean firms for digital transformation, rather than just outsourcing. The South Korean IT outsourcing market, worth over VND14 trillion (US$600 billion), offers significant opportunities. Initiatives such as the Vietnam Digital Forum aim to strengthen bilateral cooperation and spur joint innovation.

Trade connection conference links Central Highlands and South Korean businesses

The Trade Connection Conference connected 29 South Korean businesses with their 73 counterparts from the Central Highlands on August 1 in Da Lat City. The event is expected to foster new supply chains and expand the export market for the Central Highlands, thereby strengthening economic and trade ties between Vietnam and South Korea. The East Asian country is currently Vietnam's third largest trading partner, with bilateral turnover expected to reach $76 billion by 2023.
