Vietnam – Japan University to offer six master’s courses

Hanoi-based Vietnam National University (VNU) in collaboration with Japan`s 15 leading universities will establish the training program for Vietnam-Japan University. The school will offer the first training programmes in 2016, focusing on six master’s courses.
This information was said by VNU President Phung Xuan Nha at a workshop in Hanoi on December 12.
The Vietnam – Japan University, a symbol of the two countries’ cooperation, was established as the seventh member college of the VNU under a decision signed by the Prime Minister in July 2014. 
Accordingly, Vietnam – Japan University will offer the first training programmes of six master’s courses in nano technology, environmental technique, infrastructure technique, regional studies, public policies, and business administration.

The training programmes will be designed with assistance of Japan’s  famous tertiary establishments like the University of Tokyo, Osaka University, University of Tsukuba, Yokohama National University, Waseda University, and Ritsumeikan University and be adjusted at suitable levels of Vietnamese students.
Students of the courses will be equipped with modern knowledges, trained in an international environment, attaching with the research, modern test-based equipments and lab systems.
Graduates will able to meet the entry requirements of the doctor's training programme at the well-known universities in the world, firstly Japanese universities. They can meet the high demands on human resources for government agencies, organizations and enterprises at home and abroad, especially the Japanese investors in Vietnam.
VNU President Phung Xuan Nha, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japanese schools will send their experienced lecturers to take charge of at least 50 percent of specialised modules in each curriculum, the remaining will be charged by the VNU and VJU lecturers. 
Each course will enroll 20 students. After the first programmes, the VJU and its Japanese partners will design curricula for other doctoral, master’s and undergraduate courses.
