Vietnam, India discuss new technologies
A delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) visited India from September 9-17 and met with representatives of several government departments to carry out the bilateral co-operation programme on technology.
The Hanoitimes - A delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) visited India from September 9-17 and met with representatives of several government departments to carry out the bilateral co-operation programme on technology.
Within the co-operation programme, signed in March 2012 by the Ministry and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) at India ’s Ministry of Science and Technology, the delegation visited four DBT research centres and proposed potential areas for cooperation in agriculture and health.
At a meeting in the capital, New Delhi, the delegation was informed that Indian delegation will attend a seminar in Vietnam in late November to define prior orientations for future co-operation in biotechnology between the two countries.
At another meeting, it agreed with the Indian Department of Electronics and Information Technology on the signing of cooperative agreement on network security and safety. They reached a consensus on the signing of a national-level agreement in this field in the future.
The Vietnamese delegation also met with representatives from the Indian Space Research Organisation in Bangalore to discuss the possibility of bilateral co-operation in cosmography, especially in the development of small satellites.
