Held in a hybrid form of both online and offline meetings, the event draws the participation of over 3,000 senior officials and business leaders from 57 countries and territories who have registered to take part in the SABS 2022.

Vietnam’s Ambassador to Singapore Mai Phuoc Dung is set to lead a delegation to attend the Singapore Apex Business Summit (SABS) 2022, which will be held from March 22-25 at Marina Bay Sands.

The summit, titled “Accelerating Business Transformation in an Endemic World”, would serve as a high-profile and constructive platform that brings together top business leaders, senior government officials, think-tanks, and policymakers to explore business/investment opportunities in the post-pandemic world.

Held in a hybrid form of both online and offline meetings, the event draws the participation of over 3,000 senior officials and business leaders from 57 countries and territories who have registered to take part in the SABS 2022.

Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat in his opening speech said the world is facing multiple crises that substantially change the global environment.

But such difficulties are also offering new opportunities for countries to seek ways and thrive, he said.

On this topic, Singapore’s Minister of Finance Lawrence Wong said the pandemic is a generational crisis and forces countries to adapt to a new world environment. And the worse is when everyone is still struggling with the issue, there comes another in the form of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

This shows the world is becoming more fragile, complicated, and risky, Wong added.

During this summit, an ASEAN conference would be held on March 23 to discuss the future of cities and industrial sectors in the region by 2030, the future of consumers in the digital era, jobs, and skills required for a new future.

Vietnam’s Ambassador to Singapore Mai Phuoc Dung will take part in a panel discussion on the topic of “A look into the future of jobs and skills in ASEAN to capture business opportunities.”
