Priority is given to biotechnology, chemical technology, information technology, renewable energy, automation and materials science. Project proposals should focus on the development of products which are marketable, services or solutions based on high technologies and highly marketable.

Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology and Germany’s Ministry of Economy and Energy will facilitate access to financial support for these projects.

Proposals will be jointly evaluated by Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology and AiF Projekt GmbH project management agency. Evaluation results will be announced within four months after the deadline for submission. Proposals that have good appraisal results may be funded by two ministries channeled through national funds and/or other grant programs.

The project’s results must bring added value through international cooperation between the participating countries. The duration for implementing the project will not exceed three years. Any partner with an R&D cooperation project meeting the proposed criteria may submit a proposal as notified under the applicable laws, rules, regulations and procedures.

Deadline for submitting proposals is February 28, 2019. The proposal form can be downloaded from the website: www.zim.de/internationale-ausschreibungen (German side) or the website of Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology: www.most.gov.vn.
