Viet Nam is ready for the upcoming 46th International Chemistry Olympiad (ICHO 2014) slated from July 20-29, with the participation of 291 students from 75 countries and territories.
Bui Duy Cam, a representative from the organising board, said at a press conference yesterday that the University of Natural Sciences under the Ha Noi National University and the Ha Noi National University of Education had been assigned to organise the event.
They would also join exchange activities and visit a number of famous tourism sites in Viet Nam.
Held annually since 1968, the ICHO is one of five contests that combines mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and information technology for international high school students to show off their intellectual talent and make friends.
Viet Nam has participated in the ICHO since 1997. Last year, all four students from the Vietnamese team won medals, including one gold and three silvers at the 45th ICHO in Russia.
