Trung Temple: The most beautiful temple on western side of Ba Vi Mountain
Thanh Dat 14:30, 2019/01/04
Trung Temple is a large-scale, monumental temple that forms part of vestiges related to the tomb of Son Vien, the most beautiful temple in Tan Vien Temple on the western slope of Ba Vi mountain.
Trung Temple, located in the relic of Tan Vien Son in Ba Vi Mountain, Hanoi is the most beautiful temple in Tan Vien worshipping site on the western slope of Mount Ba Vi.

The entire relic of Tan Vien Saint of Ba Vi Mountain is located in two communes of Minh Quang and Ba Vi, Ba Vi district, Hanoi, worshipping Duc Thanh Tan Son Tinh - the mightiest god of the four immortal gods of the Vietnamese.
Trung Temple is also known as Trung Cung or Ba Dan Temple located at the foot of Tan Mountain, in Cam Linh commune in Ba Vi district.
The book "The Story of Duc Thanh Tan" kept at Va Temple was written in the third year of King Vinh Huu by “Quan giam bach than” Nguyen Hien (1737) and pointed out that Trung Temple is where worshipping Ma Thi, mother of Tan Vien. According to the popular legend, Ma Thi left a testament to hand over all the land in the foothills of Ba Vi to her adopted son Nguyen Tuan, ie Son Tinh, to rule and be responsible for setting up temples to offering her tribute. Trung Temple was built during the Ly dynasty. In the Nguyen dynasty, King Minh Mang ordered the Governor Nguyen Dang Giai to restore the temple.

On the side of a mountain, through a relatively flat forest, the temple doors face west, to the Ro Ro Mountain, the Da River below looks like a white strip of silk representing the majestic spirit. The two streams lead water from Mount Tuyen downstream into the stream of Cai. From the Trung Temple to the other side of the Da River is Mount Hui, the foot of the mountain is the land of Trung Nghia commune (Phu Tho province), where the temples worshipping the mother of the Duc Thanh Tan were built.
Trung Temple has a Tam-style architecture, adapted from the Qian dynasty in China, representing sustainability. Inside the temple, there is a set of three statues of Trinh Thanh Vien. In the back, there are four statues in standing position, representing four great gods in four directions east, west, south and north.

On the right side of Trung Temple, there is a three-storey block called Lang Temple, which houses Ma Thi's throne. In front of Lang temple there is a Buddhist pagoda. At the foot of the temple stands a small shrine worshipping Thai Bach Than Tinh. In addition, there is the worshipping altar of Son Lam (Tigers).
