Thousands of tourists attend first Japanese cherry blossom in Da Nang
The first Hanami festival held in the central coastal city of Da Nang on April 9-10, is part of the activities organised by Asia Park to popularise the traditional and cultural values of Asian countries, aiming to bring outstanding tourism products to visitors.
The event attracted thousands of tourists. Visitors to the city had the chance to contemplate the pristine beauty of pink and white cherry blossom when attending the first Hanami festival held at Asia Park.
The festival featured a wide range of activities of a traditional Hanami festival, which takes place annually in Japan in April, alongside Japanese tea art, calligraphy and traditional Yosakoi dance.
In addition, the festival organised a cosplay or Japanese Anime/Manga fantasy costume show, booths introducing Japanese cuisine and kimono clothing, and exhibiting areas with more than 3,000 Japanese fine art products.
The Hanami festival is expected to become an annual event in Da Nang city to introduce Japanese culture to local residents and visitors.
