The Prime Minister receives outgoing Czech Ambassador

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had a meeting to bid farewell to Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Vietnam Martin Klepetko in Hanoi on January 5.

At the reception, the Prime Minister (PM) congratulated the diplomat on accomplishing his working term and stated that Vietnam has attached importance to the relations with the Czech Republic for decades.
With a favourable investment business environment, Vietnam so far has attracted the capital of 300 billion USD of foreign direct investment (FDI), he said, and adding that the country expects to draw more Czech investors.
PM Phuc suggested both sides speed up trade and investment activities, pledging that Vietnam will make it more favourable for Czech businesses in those activities.
The PM said he hopes the two countries to accelerate diplomatic and cultural ties and quickly set up a direct air route between Prague and Vietnam.
The Vietnamese Government and people welcome the upcoming visit to Vietnam by the President of the Czech Republic, the PM noted.
For his part, Ambassador Martin Klepetko thanked the Vietnamese Government, ministries and sectors for helping him fulfill term tasks.
The diplomat affirmed that the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic has made important contributions to the growing bilateral ties.
Czech Republic wishes to further promote bilateral relations with Vietnam through the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic, he added.
Czech businessmen appreciate Vietnam's openness of the business investment environment, the diplomat said.
He told Czech businesspeople gave high estimations to Vietnam’s investment and business environment.
The diplomat shared that his country wants to early deploy the Vietnam-European Union free trade agreement in a bid to raise trade between the two countries.
