Today, the capital city of Vietnam celebrates the 68th anniversary of liberation day (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2022). This milestone has transformed Hanoi into a national hub and a vital metropolis in Southeast Asia, rich in culture and long-lasting characteristics.

Hanoi Party Committee and People's Committee on September 28 held a seminar on "Culture resource in the development strategy of Hanoi Capital to become a Creative City".

The priority for Hanoi is to turn its creative aspect into the foundation to realize the socio-economic development goal under the 2045 vision, said the UNESCO chief representative in Vietnam.

The gathering is expected to contribute to presenting the new direction for the development of Hanoi.

A ceremony celebrating Hanoi’s admission into UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network as a Creative City for Design transpired in the city's Ly Thai To Statue and Garden on December 13.

As Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam has joined in the Creative Cities Network in the field of Design, the city may grab more chances to enhance its position and its image to the world.

Joining in the Creative Cities Network, Hanoi wishes to become not only an active member but also an envoy for consensus for sustainable development.

From November 1 to 17, Hanoi locals and tourists can attend and engage with a series of creative activities within exhibitions, workshops, industry talks and social media through the Vietnam Festival of Media & Design.
