Music and painting dominated the event, which encouraged participation by everyone. Some painters performed interactive Action Painting that included face painting of child models.
The fair’s impromptu stage let children try out a new kind of art and experience a fashion show catwalk for the first time. Anyone could sign up to show off their own talent.
his reflected the Fair’s goal of narrowing the gap between artists and the public.
Painter Phuong Vu Manh, the initiator of the fair, said, “I’ve travelled to several European countries and seen their street arts. I found them very interesting and hoped that such activities would be held in our city. I want to turn the Fair into a recurring event so street arts will become more familiar to Hanoi’s people who will acquire a habit of enjoying the arts after working hours.”
