By Nguyen Ngan 11:46, 2014/12/30
On the afternoon of December 29, State President Truong Tan Sang welcomed the newly-accredited Ambassadors from Bangladesh, Greece and Saudi Arabia to present their credentials.

Receiving Bangladeshi Ambassador Shahab Ullah, the State President said the two sides need to strengthen high-ranking delegation exchanges.

He hoped that Viet Nam and Bangladesh will continue their support for each other at the international forums for the sake of their people.

Ambassador Shahab Ullah wishes to share experience with Viet Nam in fields of poverty reduction, micro-credit, maternal and infant mortality reduction, climate change adaptation, and trade and industry cooperation.

Welcoming Greek Ambassador Nicolas Dekanelos, President Truong Tan Sang lauded the relationship between the two nations, suggesting strengthening and expanding cooperation in economics, trade, science and technology.

He also referred to the Free Trade Agreement between Viet Nam and the EU, which will accelerate the economic and trade relations between Viet Nam and the EU, in general, and Viet Nam and Greece, in particular.
The Greek diplomat pledged to do his utmost to promote the friendship and collaboration between the two countries.

At the meeting with Saudi Arabian Ambassador Dakhil Al Johani, State President Sang confirmed that Viet Nam welcomes foreign investors, including those from Saudi Arabia to invest in Viet Nam in such areas as oil and gas, labor and other sectors.

The Saudi Arabian Ambassador acclaimed that Saudi Arabia may increase the hiring of Vietnamese laborers from 15,000 currently to 100,000 in the future. Proposing the two sides speed up the negotiations and signing of agreements on economic, trade and investment, he expected to raise the two-way trade turnover from US$2 billion to US$5 billion during his term in Viet Nam.
