Ramon has made four previous visits to Vietnam capturing the people, landscape and culture in hundreds of emotivepictures. For thisassignment he plans to depart from HCM City and conclude in the capital Hanoi, exploring provinces and cities such as Can Tho, KienGiang, An Giang,DakLak, Quang Nam, Danang, Hue, HoaBinh and NinhBinh along the way.

All photos taken during the journey will be displayed at a national exhibition in Valencia next January.

He said photos of Vietnam are among his most precious in a photo collection which has been taken by him in Spain, India, Cambodia, Myanmar, Peru and Cuba.

Two photos he took in Vietnam entitled “Paddy fields” and “Trains in Hanoi” were awarded high prizes at a local  photographic exhibition. These photos have been included in a document which was requested bythe Federation of European Photographers to award the QEP -Qualified European Photographer title.

Rafer came to Vietnam for the first time in early 2007 and was astounded at the  beautiful landscape and welcoming hospitality of Vietnamese people.
