Reisereporter.de: Vietnam among ten attractive destinations to escape Europe’s winter
Jenna Duong 22:07, 2022/09/29
With its year-round warm tropical climate, breathtakingly beautiful scenery, and exciting culture, Vietnam is gradually becoming an attractive destination for German tourists.

The German travel news site reisereporter.de has listed Vietnam among the top 10 most beautiful tourist destinations to discover for Germans as the gloomy winter is about to knock on  Europe's door.

Luisa Ziegler, the staff writer of the travel news site, ranked Vietnam 9th out of 10 ideal countries for European travelers to make a long trip that should run from November to March.

The article is entitled “The ten most beautiful long-distance travel destinations for the winter”.

According to Luisa, Vietnam is a country with rich culture and breathtaking landscapes. The Southeast Asian country stretches over 3,000 kilometers of coastline, with diverse and rich nature and two vibrant metropolises that can delight any discerning traveler.

“You can immerse yourself in lively city life in urban Hanoi or flashy Ho Chi Minh City. Meanwhile, Hoi An, the capital of lanterns in Vietnam, is also definitely worth a visit,” she wrote.

She also suggests that travelers switch off with a trip through the endless green rice fields or to the jungle-like national parks of the country. Beach vacationers will find a lively beach promenade with modern beach resorts and chic boutiques in Nha Trang or untouched nature on the island of Phu Quoc to relax. In the very north of the island lies the mystical Ha Long Bay. Numerous limestones and small islands rise here, some hundreds of meters high.

According to Luisa, Hai Van pass divides Vietnam’s climate into two zones, with the tropical South and the subtropical North, in which, from November to May, the weather is a little bit cold and rainy, while the South is hot all year round.

Hanoi’s vibrant nightlife

As The Hanoi Times recommends, Hanoi seems to be the best place for travelers who love exploring culture or immersing in locals’ vibrant daily life.

For many international tourists, Hanoi’s Old Quarter is a tourist magnet, not only for boasting a wealth of heritages, monuments, and relic sites but also for the unique features of the daily life of its residents. Wandering around the place at night, travelers will stray into another world of the city: it is not as busy as during the day but still lively, with restaurants opening until late.

The diversity of dishes and addresses for late-night eating contributes to this lively life of Hanoi. Among them, Tong Duy Tan 24/7 food street is the most popular. It is Hanoi's first food street, which opened in the early 2000s. Along the 200 meters of the road, there are many food stalls and restaurants offering hundreds of popular local dishes.

Another open-air food court that has joined the city's catalog of dining addresses in recent years is the "western" Ta Hien Street in Hanoi's Old Quarter, home to the city's liveliest restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. Going here on weekends, travelers also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in live music parties with both traditional and modern themes.

Let’s gather with locals and friends for beers and street dishes until midnight. Then it will be an unforgettable traveling experience of your lifetime!

In addition to Vietnam, the article also recommends German tourists visit other travel destinations to avoid the upcoming cold winter, including Chile, Florida in the United States, Cuba, Morocco, Mexico, Panama, Sri Lanka, Tasmania in Australia, and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
