Quang Ninh to host ASEAN Tourism Forum during 5 days

The 2019 ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) will open in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province, Vietnam in two weeks` time.
The 2019 ATF will take place in Ha Long, Quang Ninh province between January 14 and 18, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).

This will be the second time the forum is held in Vietnam, following the previous one hosted in 2009.
The event will provide Vietnam a chance to improve its role and stature in regional tourism and introduce the country’s natural beauty and people to international friends. Domestic travel agents will have the chance to meet partners and hospitality service providers from around the world, said the VNAT.
Vietnam is finalizing the preparation and ready for the meeting of over 1,000 delegates including tourism officials and travel package providers from the 10 ASEAN member countries and worldwide.
On the sidelines of the forum, a number of events will be held, including the 23rd ASEAN Tourism Ministers Meeting, the 23rd meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers Plus Three, the first ASEAN-China Tourism Ministers Meeting, the ASEAN - India Tourism Ministers Meeting, the 49th meeting of ASEAN National Tourism Organizations (NTOs), the 34th meeting of ASEAN National Tourism Organizations (NTOs) Plus Three, the first meeting of NTOs - China, the meeting of the ASEAN-India Tourism Working Group and the ASEAN-Russia Federation Tourism Consultation.
All the events and the ATF Travel Exchange (TRAVEX) will take place at the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center. The three-day ATF TRAVEX will include 75 official sessions and a number of sideline activities including pre- and post-show tours, and a gala dinner, a golf tournament and a farewell party for delegates.
