The Vietnam Information Safety Association (VNISA) and Microsoft signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on increasing information security in the current context when high risks are outweighing in Vietnam

The MoU marked a new progress in long-term cooperation between the two sides towards the building of a healthy and safe information technology (IT) industry. It aimed to minimise risks threatening information security and develop a firm IT infrastructure to boost socio-economic development in a more sustainable manner.

Under the deal, Microsoft agreed to coordinate with VNISA to provide Vietnam organisations with consultations on information security. Microsoft also consented to help VNISA develop IT human resources, especially in mobile technology and cloud computing.
César Cernuda, President of Microsoft Asia Pacific, raised his concern over the escalation of internet crime that attack information system of both financial organizations and Government agencies.
The newly-signed MoU between Microsoft and VNISA is an important step to ensure information security and facilitate the building of a firm and safe IT foundation for the Government, organizations, and individuals, he added.
