The exhibition is a community-based activity, helping businesses, craft villages, and artisans to get involved and tell their stories.

An exhibition of ceramic products and related images is underway in Hanoi's Bat Trang Pottery Village as part of activities to mark the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - 2024).

The event, themed 'Soul of the Earth', is hosted by the Ho Chi Minh Museum in collaboration with Bat Trang Porcelain JSC and the Vietnam Fine Arts Association (VFAA).

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ho Chi Minh Museum Director Vu Manh Ha recalled the late President Ho Chi Minh's visit to the Bat Trang pottery village 65 years ago.

"The Party leader stressed the need to develop the craft village and make it one of the model villages in Vietnam," Ha said.

He added that the exhibition is a community-based activity that helps businesses, craft villages, and artisans to get involved and tell their own stories directly.

The exhibition features more than 300 photos, paintings, ceramic vases, and a series of artistic ceramic works by famous painters and sculptors from VFAA. Typical ceramics and porcelain products from Bat Trang's skilled artisans will also be on display.

An artwork with the photo of the late President Ho Chi Minh is displayed at the exhibition.

"The ceramics on display at the exhibition all have significant historical, cultural, and artistic values, and express love for the late President Ho Chi Minh, the capital city of Hanoi, and the beloved country," Ha said.

They help local and international visitors learn more about Vietnam's traditional cultural values and raise public awareness about the importance of preserving and promoting the nation's cultural and historical heritage.

Soul of the Earth" consists of three parts. Part I, entitled "Uncle Ho Visits Bat Trang", features ceramic works about the late President Ho Chi Minh.

Part II, titled "Collection of Ceramic Works Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Capital's Liberation Day," showcases vases and paintings made of multicolored and blue-glazed ceramics depicting images of Hanoi's landmarks and people.

Part III with the theme "Presentation of Ceramic Works of High Artistic Value" made by VFAA artists shows pieces that carry messages about peace, national cultural traditions, love for people, love for family, and love for the homeland. Artists and sculptors wish, entrust, and want to transmit love to the next generations.

The exhibition runs through the end of this month.

Visitors at the exhibition include Ha Minh Hai (3rd from right), Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee.
