Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has expressed his hope that outgoing German Ambassador Jutta Frasch, will continue doing his part for Vietnam–Germany ties in any future position, given the extensive knowledge he gleaned about the country and its people during his tenure.

In a reception for the ambassador in Hanoi on August 3, the PM asked for strengthened bilateral ties across the board since the cooperative potential remains huge.
He reiterated Vietnam’s consistent aim to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Germany, a long-time supplier of official development assistance to Vietnam, is also one of the country’s leading investors and trade partners, the host said.
Frasch, for her part, expressed her appreciation for the progress of ties with Vietnam and backs the country’s bid to promote cooperation with the European Union.
She hoped that Vietnam would continue providing all possible support for German businesses operating in the country.
On the Vietnamese–German University project, the host supported the ambassador’s proposal to issue a government-level agreement on providing continued support for its development.
He also requested close liaisons to step up the progress on the German House project.
