Photo exhibition titled “Hanoi in me” launched
On the morning of September 27th, Economic & Urban Newspaper in collaboration with Hanoi Elderly photographer club hosted an exhibition titled “Ha Noi in me” at the Temple of Literature.

The exhibition aims to introduce the liberation day of the capital city, tradition of revolutionary struggle, and glorious contributions of the Party, Cadres and people of the Capital city, raising next generation’s awareness about traditional education and paying gratitude to those devoting their whole life to the revolution. The exhibition also strengthens information propaganda under the guidelines of the Party Committee, People's Council and Hanoi People's Committee about great achievements of Hanoi after nearly 30 years of implementation and innovation; encouraging younger generations who inherit and develop traditional patriotism spirit dare to think, dare to do and become united, dynamic, creative, promoting dynamic, friendly images of the capital city with rich culture and to numerous domestic and international friends, especially after 15 years of capital recognized as "City for Peace" by UNESCO, an attractive destination of foreign investors; Responding "For the security of urban in 2014". The exhibition has also been seen as one of the major cultural events of the Hanoi People's Committee on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.

Speaking at the exhibition, Permanent Deputy Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Hong Khanh hope that the photos displayed at the exhibition will be widely introduced to domestic and international public so that they preserve precious values of Hanoi forever. Following the success of the exhibitions in recent years, he proposed that Economic & Urban Newspaper coordinate with Elderly People Photography Club to hold the exhibition name “ Hanoi in me" on large scale with higher quality. Hopefully, the photo exhibition "Hanoi in me " will become the meeting place for people who love photography, love Hanoi on the 60th anniversary of the liberation day of the capital.

Taking place from September 27th to October 2nd 2014, the exhibition introduces art lovers to the public 116 pictures of Hanoi during 60 years of construction and development in all aspects such as politics, economics, urban management, culture an society.

The works in the exhibition taken by artistsin Elderly Hanoi photography club under the auspices of the Economic & Urban Newspaper, journalists and collaborators of the Journal which are kept throughout the years employed. In addition, the exhibition clearly expresses pride in Hanoi - the capital of Heroes, City of peace and deep love of Hanoi's authors those who live, work and are associated with Hanoi for many decades. 116 works were selected from hundreds of representative works in the process of development of the capital in 60 years, consistent with the theme of the exhibition.


"My Hanoi" is an annual exhibition of Elderly photographer Club supported by Economic & Urban Newspaper. Over the past 10 years, with 9 exhibitions, "Hanoi in me" has become the meeting place for photography lovers who love Hanoi.
The Organizing Committee will host exhibitions to sell some art works to raise funds to repair 60 houses for poor households and fishermen in Hanoi and Ly Son island on the 60th anniversary of the capital Liberation.
