Photo exhibition on Hanoi takes place
Van Trang 18:17, 2014/11/21
On November 21, an exhibition themed “Hanoi’s old images” was held at Kim Ngan Communal House (No. 42 – 44 Hang Bac Street) by the Management Board of Hanoi’s Old Quarter to celebrate the 19th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (23/11/2005 - 11/23/2014).
Over 40 photos of a group of photographers including both professional and amateur photographers who love Hanoi were on display at the exhibition.

Although they work in different fields, they have two things in common in living and working in Hanoi. Through lens of the photographers, Hanoi was wonderfully reflected with the old town, street food, or people wandering around streets in the first nights of winter.
In addition, the photos also introduces visistors to scenery, festivals, architectural buildings, monuments and traditional artisans in the Old Quarter of Hanoi.
Hanoi in the present still bears the historical tradition and the indelible culture in the past.

Preserving and conserving "Hanoi’s old images" mean keeping tangible and intangible heritage values of Thang Long - Hanoi.
The exhibition has played a role in the preservation and storage of cultural values in the Old Quarter of Hanoi.
The vice chairman of Hoan Kiem District Hong Phong Dinh said that the photographers wished to express the tangible and intangible heritage values in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, and convey a message of preserving and conserving the heritage values.
The exhibition will open to the public until December 31.
Here are some photos on display at the exhibition:
