Thousands of people all over the country have sent photos and text messages since mid-June to raise funds in support of people and soldiers working and safeguarding the national sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos.
The campaign was held by the Ministry of Information and Communications, Vietnam Television, VTC Television, Viet Nam Red Cross, and Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper.
The great photos, which feature Vietnam's landscapes and people, can be found at go.vn/biendong. They have been attached to a map of the country and digitalised in high resolution and will be presented as a gift to those on the islands along with the funds raised during the campaign.
When the campaign officially closed on July 18, many people still expressed their wish to contribute more photos. Therefore, the deadline is extended, and people throughout the country can send photos via the aforementioned website.
