The event runs through October 1 at the Soc Son District Stadium in Hanoi.

The Hanoi Agricultural Products Festival in 2023 is showcasing over 1,500 brands of safe farm produces, processed foods, traditional handicrafts, and typical commodities of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program from Soc Son District, Hanoi, and 30 provinces and cities nationwide.

A local consumer is shopping at the fair.

The products at the festival are organic and high-tech, with full packaging and traceability labels.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, Bui Duy Quang, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA), said that the event is an opportunity for businesses to promote their brands, add value to products, contribute to the preservation of traditional crafts, rural community spaces and natural products while preserving local cultural and tourism traditions.

"It also aims to facilitate trade links and product sales, increase the value of agricultural production, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the city and other provinces and cities," he said.

According to Do Minh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Soc Son District People's Committee, specialized production areas have been established in the district, focusing on crops such as jasmine flowers, yellow sticky rice, yellow flower tea, and raspberry, as well as dozens of high-tech livestock farms that meet VietGap standards.

He added that Soc Son District has more than 100 OCOP three- and four-star commodities. After being recognized as OCOP products, businesses, cooperatives, and production units have formed linkages in production, processing, and consumption.

The Soc Son District People's Committee also held celebrations such as the Giong Temple Festival and presentations and introductions of the district's overall development plans.

Visitors can participate in many activities, such as traditional cooking competitions, salt pickling of vegetables, folk figurine molding, embroidery, and rice painting.

Soc Son's Hanoi Agricultural Products Festival 2023 is the second edition of an important agricultural trade promotion event in the series of activities organized by the "Hanoi Agricultural Products Festival 2023" program.

Previous events were successfully held in Dong Anh District (during the April 30-May 1 holiday), Ba Vi District (from July 6-9), and Ung Hoa District (from July 21-25). The upcoming event will take place in Dan Phuong District.
