Opening the Vietnam – Cuba Culture Day

Among events to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Vietnam – Cuba diplomatic relationship (December 2) and the 57th anniversary of the Cuban revolutionary (January 1), the Vietnam – Cuba Culture Day was organised in HCM City on December 13.
The Day is the last event of Vietnam – Cuba friendship activities in 2015 in HCM City with the good results and effects.
Speaking at the festival, Chairman of the HCM City Vietnam – Cuba Friendship Association Truong Thi Hien emphasised the Vietnam – Cuba relationship has been significantly boosted in the recent years with visits of high-ranking leaders from the two countries.

Hien said the visits' results with joint statements of the leaders of the two countries have showed strong evidence for the determination of the Party, Government and people of the two countries to maintain, strengthen solidarity ties and support the Vietnam-Cuba comprehensive cooperation.
Affirming the significance of special relationships between Vietnam and Cuba in the past 55 years, Cuban General Consul Bernabe Garcia Valido believed that with the long and sustainable unity, Vietnamese and Cuban citizens of today and future generations would continue to foster the friendship, comprehensive cooperation and absolute confidence between the two Parties, States and peoples. 
During the event, many activities also took place such as a fact-finding contest on Cuba and the Vietnam – Cuba friendship, the performances Vietnamese and Cuban songs and introducing of Cuban dishes such as Mojito drink and Congri rice.
