“One Heart-One World” art programme for Vietnam disabled day
Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs in conjunction with the the Association in Support of Vietnamese Handicapped and Orphans, and Vietnam Television will organize the 12th charitable art programme themed “One Heart-One World” in HCM City on April 17 to call the community’s support for Vietnam disabled day.

At a press conference to announce the event on April 10, the organizing board said the art performance will be broadcasted live on VTV2 at 20:30 on April 17 with the participation of singers such as Phuong Thanh, Nguyen Vu, Thanh Ngoc, etc.
President of the Association in Support of Vietnamese Handicapped and Orphans Nguyen Dinh Lieu told the event aims to honour outstanding people with disabilities and orphans nationwide as well as connect people and organisations towards supporting these vulnerable groups.
Besides, the audience also have a chance to engage with disadvantaged people who have made every effort to overcome their difficulties and integrate into the community.
This year, the Association plans to conduct orthopaedic surgeries for 1,200 people and cataract surgeries for 4,500 blind people, provide 6,000 wheelchairs for disabled people, present 8,000 scholarships and bicycles to orphans and offer vocational training and jobs for 1,500 people.
