A variety of fascinating activities are expected to provide meaningful experiences for visitors, locals, and especially children during this year's Full Moon Festival.

A series of activities will be held in the entire area of the Old Quarter from September 22 to September 29.

Accordingly, a documentary exhibition on the ancient Mid-Autumn Festival will take place at the Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center (No.50 Dao Duy Tu Street, Hoan Kiem District).

The exhibition features nearly 80 documents, materials, and pictures of the ancient Mid-Autumn Festival at the UNESCO-recognized Thang Long Imperial Citadel. Some display counters with colorful toys will also delight children and visitors.

Alongside the exhibition, there will also be many cultural activities to promote the Mid-Autumn Festival at historical relics and cultural exchange centers in the Old Quarter.

In particular, the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival of Hanoi families will be recreated at the Heritage House at 87 Ma May Street in Hoan Kiem District.

Ancient mid-autumn lamp models restored by folk culture researcher Trinh Bach and artisan Nguyen Trong Binh will also be displayed at the site.

In addition, there will be events to decorate the Mid-Autumn Festival space and introduce traditional toys at the Kim Ngan Communal House at 42 and 44 Hang Bac Street and the Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center at 50 Dao Duy Tu Street. At these venues, Hanoi artisans will teach visitors and children how to make traditional Vietnamese toys such as to he or rice-powder toy figurines, star lanterns, and others.

Similarly, there will be an event dedicated to traditional toys during the Mid-Autumn Festival at the Mural Space on Phung Hung Street during these days. In particular, there will be some water puppet performances, fashion shows, and children's musical performances.

The Old Quarter Mid-Autumn Festival is held every year to honor the national cultural identity, contribute to the preservation of historical and cultural values of the Old Quarter of Hanoi, remind people of the national origin, and develop a common cultural space.

The event also shows the concern and responsibility of Party committees and government agencies in educating and caring for children and creating a healthy and meaningful playground for them during the nation's traditional Mid-Autumn Festival.
