National education channel (VTV7) broadcast on New Year Day
The national education channel - VTV7 will be officially aired on the first day of 2016, with the slogan "For a learning society", Vietnam National Television’s Deputy General Director Pham Viet Tien said on December 28.
VTV7 is operated by Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam National Television and Advanced International Joint Stock Company (AIC).
The channel aims to give the audience an insight into educational affairs in the country.
With a duration of 18 hours per day (starting at 6am), the VTV7 channel will broadcast various programmes that promises to be very attractive with audience including Wake Up with VTV7, VTV7 English, Discovery, My Books and Education Talkshow, among others.
In particular, the most important show is VTV7 School which supplements lessons taught at school, helping pupils improve their knowledge of history, mathematics and other subjects.
In the first phase of broadcasting, pre-school children and primary pupils will be the key audiences of VTV7. Such programmes as Drawing with Com the frog, Five new English words and Weather for Kids will be in the framework of Wake Up with VTV7 (6am-7am daily).
Apart from other major educational programmes, entertainment will be shown on the channel. Watching VTV7, audience can also enjoy humanitarian programmes, namely Roads to Schools and My Books.
According to journalist Nhat Hoa, President of Educational Programme Centre, each program on VTV7 has been meticulously prepared and its content has been consulted from educational experts.
She said besides some special programmes bought with copyrights, VTV7 will also introduce to the audience a lot of pure Vietnamese shows.
