The General Statistics Office (GSO) announced that the average figure of the national CPI in the first four months of this year increased by 1.41%.

Deputy Director of the GSO’s Price Statistics Department Do Thi Ngoc attributed the CPI growth to impacts of the drought in the central and Central Highlands regions and saltwater intrusion in the Mekong Delta that pushed rice price up.
