Medical waste management support project

PM Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the Project on supporting medical waste management to mitigate the discharge of persistent organic substances and mercury, funded by the Global Environment Fund.
The Hanoitimes - PM Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the Project on supporting medical waste management to mitigate the discharge of persistent organic substances and mercury, funded by the Global Environment Fund.

The Ministry of Health is responsible for implementing the project from 2013-2017.

The project aims to develop solutions to manage and control pollution and reduce the emission of persistent organic pollutants and persistent toxic substances in the healthcare sector.

Total funding for the project is US$8 million, including US$7 million in non-refundable aid.
