As of March 4, the number of people under quarantine is 51,572, including 533 at hospitals, 13,776 at concentrated facilities, and the remaining 37,263 at lodging stations and at home, according to the Ministry of Health.
Ten of the localities have gone nearly 20 days without any local transmission, including Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ninh, and the latter reopened its Van Don International Airport on March 3.
The national Covid-19 tally stands at 2,482, with 1,898 recoveries and 35 deaths. Among the active patients, 216 people have tested negative for the virus at least once.
Covid-19 has claimed more than 2.5 million lives globally.
