Manulife Vietnam has been pioneering a new health agenda in Vietnam through its innovative products, unique digital ecosystem, and customer engagement, helping to transform the relationship and perception that customers have with their insurers.

“As an advocate for healthy living and digital innovation, Manulife Vietnam is honored to be named ‘Digital Health & Wellness Leader of the Year’ at the prestigious Golden Dragon Awards,” said Sang Lee, CEO of Manulife Vietnam. “I’m proud of the leadership role Manulife Vietnam has taken across the industry to help address the protection gap and contribute to a healthier future for the people of Vietnam.”

The Golden Dragon Awards recognize foreign-invested enterprises that have provided significant contributions to the development of Vietnam’s economy throughout the year. Organized by the Vietnam Economics Times Group, this is the twelfth time Manulife Vietnam has been honored as part of the annual event.

Vietnam is forecast to be the fastest-growing economy in Southeast Asia, and, as the leading life insurer in Vietnam, Manulife is committed to playing a leading role in growing and maturing the market to support local communities. Combining technology and health with the offer of convenience, Manulife Vietnam has found new ways to shine a light on the benefits of insurance that also take into account today’s current climate and evolving lifestyle needs.

The recently launched Manulife Shop eCommerce platform offers health-focused digital products covering accidents, medical reimbursement, and critical illness, delivering a hassle-free way for a younger segment of the population to purchase life insurance.

The Canadian-based insurer also extended the functionality of its ManulifeMOVE app by partnering with WellCare, creating an all-in-one health ecosystem making healthier behavior choices easier and more accessible for customers.

Already a popular platform that enables users to make healthier lifestyle choices, ManulifeMOVE plans to offer customers access to end-to-end healthcare services such as online doctors, telemedicine, and online pharmacy.

“The health and wellness of our customers and the community continue to be a top priority, especially during this time. At Manulife Vietnam we are always looking for new ways to enable healthy living and engage with our customers by making health simple and accessible,” said Marilyn Wang, Chief Marketing Officer for Manulife Vietnam.

Manulife Vietnam is one of the country’s leading insurers and providers of healthy living solutions and experiences. Manulife Vietnam is part of the Manulife Financial Corporation, a leading Canadian-based financial services provider.

The Golden Dragon Awards were held on April 8 at InterContinental Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
