Light art to illuminate national museum
10:27, 2015/11/06
The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum will be lit up splendidly during a light art performance by German trio The Core on November 13 and 14.
The light designers will use special software to project colour, abstract patterns and shapes onto the façade of the museum, making the building part of their production.
Vietnamese DJ Tri Minh will provide the right atmosphere with some electronic music.
The Core consists of media experts and light designers Rick Kay, Chris Noelle and Jorg Reinauer and focuses on visual installations. After having worked together on space and club design concepts for legendary Berlin club Tresor for a long time, they decided to concentrate their knowledge and visions and come together as a team.
Throughout the past two decades, The Core successfully developed projection and light design concepts with the goal of redefining urban space through individuality and industrial style.
The experts will talk about their projects such as the extraordinary light projections from the Festival of Lights in Berlin or the Urban Art Forms Festival in Graz, Austria.
