Launching the “Vietnam today” photo contest
The Vietnam Tourism Review under the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists held a ceremony to launch a photo contest themed “Vietnam today” in Hanoi on December 17.
The 7th contest aims to promote tourism of the country in the eyes of domestic and international tourists.
The contest which takes place from December 2015 to July 2016 will attract many excellent works with various topics, reflecting landscapes, historical and cultural relic sites, people’s daily life, customs and cuisine.
Eligible candidates are professional and amateur photographers at home and abroad who are encouraged to capture the beauty of land and people of Vietnam.
Candidates can send entries to Vietnam Tourism Review, 4 Lieu Giai Street, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi from December 1, 2015 to May 31, 2016.
According to the organising board, one first, two second, three third and five consolation prizes will be presented to the top entries.
The contest was first launched in 1990. The latest event was organised in 2013 themed “Vietnam-charmless beauty”, which attracted 6,466 works by 590 photographers from 61 cities and provinces nationwide.
