Land-related denouncements remains a headache in Vietnam
The government attributed the situation to shortcomings in land planning, non-transparency, wrongdoings and power abuse in site clearance and compensation, causing public indignation.
Disputes relating to land issues topped the number of civil complaints and letters of denunciation sent to authorized agencies so far this year with 70%, reports showed at the National Assembly (NA)’s ongoing plenum.

In terms of number, the complaints and letters of denunciation rose 11.8% on year, according to the reports.
The figures have made voters' representatives reflective.
In answering to deputies’ questions on the rising figures, the government attributed the situation to shortcomings in land planning, non-transparency, wrongdoings and power abuse in site clearance and compensation, causing public indignation.
Land in Vietnam is under the state’s control, individuals are given rights to use it only.
