Korean ginseng festival to kick off in Hanoi
The Korean Ginseng World Festival will be held at Vincom Mega Mall Royal City in Hanoi by the Korean Embassy in Vietnam in colloboration with the Korean Cultural Center, Department of Food Safety and the Ministry of Health from December 5 to 7.
The event includes various activities related to culture, health and food.
The festival also introduced Vietnamese people to a quality of ginseng from Geumsan, Busan - the hometown of Korean ginseng which has over 1,500 years of history of cultivation and processing of ginseng. Geumsam has became the center of production of 80% of Korean ginseng.
Coming to the festival, visitors will enjoy free meals made from ginseng and free acupuncture treatment from a group of experts of the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine in Daejeon, South Korea.
In addition, visitors will be provided information about ginseng and its effects on human health, and ways to differentiate Korean ginseng and other types of ginseng to avoid purchasing fake goods.
The event is also an opportunity for functional food businesses and Vietnamese consumers to access to leading suppliers of Korean ginseng.
