Kayakers to paddle in Da Nang beach

Amateur kayakers will compete in the Da Nang Kayak Open Race in the sea along coastline of My Khe beach on April 30.
The city’s Kayak Club said the race is open to all Vietnamese and foreigners, said organisers. Teams and individuals can register to race in the sea from East Sea Park to Holiday Beach Hotel.
Teams will compete in the men’s and women’s doubles 5km qualifying and final rounds.

It is the third time that the race has been held by the club in celebration of the country’s Reunification Day on April 30, and to kick off the summer holidays.
Kayaking was introduced as a tourist attraction in the city in 2014, with training courses held every week for 500 members.

The fee for individuals is 200,000 VND and for a team it is 500,000 VND.
